Why forgenous
The proof behind "Forged, not prompted.": how we engineer, test, ship and answer for the software we deliver.
Forged. Proven. Shipped.
We engineer our agents the way we engineer your software. Forged, not prompted: the agents behind your build are specified, tested and versioned before they write a line of your code.
- 20+ specialist AI roles
- 650+ written behavioural scenarios
- 5,000+ commits on delivered builds
- 25,000+ automated tests on delivered builds
Forged: the agents are engineered. Proven: the engine is benchmarked on real software. Shipped: it delivers working software, release after release. Every count on this page is a rounded floor, taken from the record.
Figures are rounded floors as of 1 November 2026.
Not another AI agent company
Agent companies sell you a tool and you own the outcome. We deliver the outcome, and a human is accountable for it.
You engage us for working software, not for access to an engine. We run the engine, a human approves every gate, and the result lands in your own repository with the record that proves how it was built.
What you usually get
- A tool to configure and supervise
- Output you review and integrate yourself
- Results that move with the quality of your prompts
- An outcome that is yours to answer for
What you get with us
- 20+ specialist AI roles, engineered for each stage of delivery
- A human accountable for the delivery, approving every gate
- 650+ written behavioural scenarios behind the agents
- Decision records and documentation with the work
Forged: every agent is engineered, not prompted
Our specialist agents are engineered, tested and versioned like production code.
- 20+ specialist AI roles. Analyst, product owner, architect, senior developer, QA reviewer, security engineer, reliability engineer, designer and technical writer each own one stage of the work, and each hands a checked result to the next.
- 650+ written behavioural scenarios. Our roles carry written expectations of how they must behave, so their conduct is specified before it is trusted.
- Hundreds of automated regression checks. A change to an agent is checked against them.
- Engineered like code. Agent definitions are iterated, reviewed and versioned exactly as your software is, with their change history on the record.
- A lessons-learned loop. What a delivery teaches us about the process goes back into the agents, so the next build starts stronger.
Our delivery process is aligned to ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148, 42010, 12207 and 29119; our security and AI practices are aligned to ISO/IEC 27001, 27034 and 42001, the OWASP ASVS, the NIST SSDF (SP 800-218) and the NIST AI RMF; and we track DORA delivery metrics.
Proven: benchmarked end to end on real software
We benchmark our engine the way you would vet a supplier: end to end, on real software, version against version.
- Real code, end to end. Each benchmarked version takes a real feature request on a real open-source codebase from brief to delivered change and is scored on the result.
- A real browser checks the work. It clicks through the delivered feature and re-reads what was saved, so the feature is proven to work, not just to compile.
- Working software decides. A clean process score never outvotes a feature that fails in the browser.
- Repeat runs, explicit noise threshold. Since August 2026 our comparison rule is at least three runs per configuration, and a difference inside the noise threshold counts as no difference.
- 10 engine versions compared head to head. Improvements are measured, not assumed.
- Our studies retract their own wrong findings. When a result does not hold up under a control, we withdraw it on the record.
- We attack our own checks. Our QA agent once built a deliberately fake implementation to prove a check could be gamed, and we closed the gap.
- The planning layer is tested too. It is run against deliberately trapped portfolios with frozen answer keys, so its priorities are measured, not assumed.
Shipped: running software, not a pilot
Not a pilot. Software our engine built runs in production today.
Across our delivered builds:
- 5,000+ commits
- 150+ releases
- 25,000+ automated tests
Governed: nothing by chance
Autonomy where it's safe, a human signature where it matters. Nothing by chance means every stage has a gate, and every gate has a human.
- A human approves every gate, from brief through design and merge to release.
- Nothing reaches production without explicit human approval.
- We never ship past unproven tests. A test must fail before the code that makes it pass.
- A security review with real scanners on every feature. Any gap is labelled, never hidden.
- Secrets and personal data are redacted from our run records by default.
- Hardened against prompt injection.
- A software bill of materials and integrity hashes keep the engine's own supply chain in check.
- Works natively in your Azure DevOps, GitHub or GitLab, including GitLab with Jira. You keep the tracker, repository and pipeline you already run.
- CI-gated merge wherever your pipeline exists.
Accountable: every decision on the record
Decisions written down. Claims traceable. Mistakes on the record.
- 2,000+ engineering commits on the engine since spring 2026.
- 250+ versioned releases of the engine.
- 200+ recorded architecture decisions, each with its reasoning.
- One build shipped over 40 releases in under nine weeks.
- Decisions are recorded with their reasoning, and documentation ships with the work.
- Research claims are cited, and their sources are re-checked automatically.
- Blameless post-mortems and after-the-fact delivery audits turn slips into process fixes.
- Claims are amended on the record when found wrong.
- Run costs are tracked.
